Ensure you possess a valid non-CDL license as a base license, along with a CDL examination medical certificate confirming your fitness to drive a Class A commercial vehicle, as well as Proof of Legal Presence documentation. Pass a three-part theoretical test at the Illinois Secretary of State's office, covering General (Core) Knowledge, Combination Knowledge, and the Air Brake Knowledge written tests. BTR WAY CDL Training School LLC is committed to ensuring your comprehensive theoretical training within the framework of Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT). Our program is specifically designed to prepare you thoroughly for the theoretical exam, covering essential topics that encompass the fundamentals of operating commercial vehicles, safety regulations, and other crucial knowledge areas. Rest assured, our experienced instructors will guide you through a comprehensive curriculum, equipping you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the theoretical aspect of the CDL licensing process. Upon passing the theoretical tests, receive a Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP), allowing you to drive a Class A commercial vehicle under the guidance of a licensed instructor. Your CLP will be valid for one year.
